One Hip and a Prayer

“ADHD is a big thing in my family. My daughter and my grandkids have really struggled to get support at school. We decided to team up with Acorn to help more Kiwi kids with ADHD. They're great kids! A little bit of understanding can make all the difference.

- John Evans, aka "One Hip and a Prayer"

My name is John, a 70 year old, semi-retired plumber and family man, from West Auckland 'since ages ago'! Now that I'm working part-time and awaiting hip surgery after years of work, I figured why not try to ride the length of Aotearoa NZ for our Kiwi kids?

One Hip and a Prayer will be an epic challenge from The Cape to The Bluff! All funds will go to ACORN Charitable Trust. ACORN send their trained team to schools to assist our neuro-divergent kids with their learning journey.

This directly impacts ALL students and teachers!

TO MAKE THIS MORE FUN for you, every $20 you donate gets you 1 guess at how far you think I will get and how long this will take! The closest guess wins $500.00 in various (legitimate) shopping vouchers, donated by my amazing wife Debbie who is our support driver!

Guess example: Picton Ferry Terminal in 15 days 7 hours!
